Inaugural Morning Love Note
Nov 18, 2024
Welcome to the first Monday after the time change! You made it!I love to connect with you all and I recently had a client say she would love to have a Monday Morning Love Note- so, here is your first one.Reminder- You are so loved and appreciated! This week is going to be amazing for you. It is full of promise and is just waiting for you to live every moment of it.This a Love Report and will be structured like this:R- What am I reading?E- What am I eating?P- What am I playing? What picture is inspiring me?O- What am I obsessing over?R- What am I recommending?T- What are we talking about?Get it? Report. R-E-P-O-R-TSo here it goes...Reading-Most of you know I am an avid reader, I have just started Ina Garten's memoir"Be Ready when the Luck Happens"I often say "luck" is when preparation, prayer and perseverance align. Are you praying for your dreams? Are you preparing for your success? Are you expecting good things to happen?I love Ina because she is beautiful and funny and minus her 30 million dollar Hampton Mansion... she feels like the rest of us that love to show our family and friends that we love them through food and time together- she also recommends some pretty killer cocktails.and"God Came Near" by Max Lucado- This is a group read with my ladies bible study.Eating-Welcome to the season where we all eat more.I love a great easy pot of soup and some crusty bread and maybe a small salad. This week I enjoyed Frito Pie, our Halloween tradition and a Texas specialty, and pumpkin soup- not together. The soup also makes a delicious fall sauce for pasta.**I included both recipes at the end, if you're interested.Playing-I am generally listening to smooth jazz in the background but, if you want a fun dinner party lady crooner, Rene Olstead Radio on apple music is a great choice. Full disclosure- a few Christmas Carols may also be wafting through the house.Obsessing-Even though the sunsets are earlier, I am loving the colors of our fall sunsets. Grab a sweater and a chair facing the West and take a few moments to center yourself. Have a moment of gratitude and say goodbye to the sun. If the day was not what you wanted- good news...you can try again tomorrow.
Recommending-If you have an Aldi near you... I have a fun recommendation:They have maple cinnamon cookies that have a small groove in them and are designed to sit on the side of your mug -- perfect for a sunset snack on the side of your tea or cider mug.... Just saying!Talking About-Some of you may have heard there is an election soon. I challenge you to make sure your voice is heard and remind you that sometimes with friends and family we just have to agree to disagree.
So that's it... Our first report.
Remember, you are so loved and I am committed to helping remind you we can make the world a better place by being kinder than we have too.
--Not yet living the life of your dreams OR know someone who needs a little more love and inspiration in their life?? Give them a hug and my name!
Happy Monday you Marvelous Soul- I am praying for your contentment and that you are impacting this big, beautiful messy world with all your time, and talents, and treasures in a way that is fulfilling for you.
Much Love and Kindness,
Shannon

** Texas Frito Pie-- so easy
make your favorite chili recipe...
If you are from Texas it is against the law to add beans to your chili. Now, I love beans but, this is Texas Frito Pie.
Directions:
Make your chili
grab a bowl
put fritos in the bottom of your bowl, top with chili then top with sour cream, green onions, and cheese. That's it. Enjoy.
