Haaaappppyyy 2025! New Year! New Adventures! New Opportunities to say YES! New Memories to be made!

Happy Second Monday in 2025... It is hard to believe 2025 is here.

I feel like last week was Thanksgiving and tomorrow will be Valentine's Day. Anyone else!?

Forgive me that this email is coming out a tad late because I am still a little jet-lagged from my return to Spain and haven't quite gotten myself fully back on track.

But, we're making progress!

None the less... I couldn't let this Monday slip away without sending our very first Love Note of the year to every dear person on our email list.

And, let me just take a moment to say, if you are here... we are so grateful for you! You make the world a better place, and we are thankful to know you.

If you've been around for awhile... You know this is one of our very favorite things to write each week.

I am going to be brutally honest... 2025 started out a bit surprising for me. Not the news I expected going into the New Year.

I was betrayed by someone I held very near and it rocked my world, to say the least.

A gut punch I really didn't see coming.

But, with God's immense goodness and the coaching tools I have learned over the past 2 years... Every day has gotten easier and I am truly feeling like I am coming out of the other side of the tunnel stronger and more resilient.

A beautiful miracle!

Why share that!?

Because I am here to be a reminder that we are humans, too! Even coaches have to VERY regularly use our coaching tools.

They. are. so. powerful! Ask me how I know!?

And, to also say... if this year hasn't started out exactly as you thought it would... Don't be discouraged.

There are still so many opportunities to capitalize on the magic of each day and know that our stories are no where near finished!

God's plan for your life is so beautiful and even in unexpected turmoil, we can still choose to focus on the miracles.

READING

So, I must confess... I LOVE a real book. There is nothing better.

But... I asked for a Kindle this Christmas because with my commute in the mornings in Spain - I wanted an easy way to travel super light and with a plethora of books!

I love to read. It's my happy place when I can curl up with a good book and get lost in the creation of someone else's magic through words.

I am currently reading on my new Kindle Christmas at the Little Paris Hotel by Rebecca Raisin.

Here's a little secret... seasonal Christmas books are still fun even in January!

And, speaking of Christmas... I was gifted The Wedding People (back to a tangible book for awhile!) ... So, that is next on my list.

Finally - I am loving Jesse Altizer's "Free Swim" weekly newsletter. (he is Sara Blakely's - creator of Spanx - husband). He is funny, motivational, and so witty! If you want the link... Shoot me an email and I will send it to you!

EATING

Not my momma's homemade goodness... but, I'll survive, I guess!

If y'all know me at all - you probably know that cooking is not my favorite thing to do - but, I have really grown to love it living on my own. Especially when you satisfy whatever you have really been craving!

My newest obsession (for ease and deliciousness) have been protein bowls. I throw in a mixture of fresh things and it is ready in no time.

Ideally, think things you can get on the perimeter of the grocery store... Your body will thank you! The less things that come from a box or a can - the better!

Last week I did... Spinach, Arugula, Basmati Rice, Chickpeas, Black Beans, Grilled Pesto Chicken, and a Mixture of Sweet Potatoes, Peppers, Onions, and Zucchini.

I mean... SO GOOD! Drizzled it with a little olive oil, salt and pepper and Voilá... It was filling and so flavorful. And, all the preparation took less than an hour - including grilling the veggies and chicken in the oven!

Pro-Tip... Add in a little hummus on the side and you'll thank me. Even better if you make your own!

PLAYING

So, I recently brought my Alexa back from home with me to Spain and that was all she wrote when it comes to listening to music. It peps up any bad mood and just makes what can feel like the mundane things of life much more fun!

I love Instrumental Pop when I am writing emails or cleaning.

I love Zen or Jazz as I am winding down to go to sleep.

I love French cooking music when I want to pretend I am a pastry chef in Paris for the day.

I love Christian music when I am getting ready in the morning.

Me and Alexa... We have become long-lost best friends again. And, she never talks back. Hah!

OBSESSING

I am really obsessing over lots of things these days!

A recent trip I just booked to Alicante, Spain. Hello pretty beaches!!

My new bright yellow water bottle that makes me happy every time I drink from it.

My turquoise painted nails.

Coffee or Zoom catch-ups with friends.

That we are in January! I always love the hopefulness that comes with an exciting, new year ahead.

RECOMMENDING

Making your bed each morning! It can sound so simple but, even the power of one small win makes such a difference in the trajectory of your day.

Be willing to take the extra 5 minutes to nicely make your bed.

When people say, "but, I am just going to get right back in it...What's the point?!".

I always say... Imagine if you said that about the shower... "I won't shower because, tomorrow I will just get dirty again." No way!

Think of it the same way. Do it for one week and tell me it doesn't make you feel more accomplished.

You're also reminding yourself that you can stick to your word and do what you say!

TALKING ABOUT

All that 2025 holds and the many lessons I have learned from 2024.

Who I was a year ago, I can't even hardly recognize...

I was closing down a business. In the middle of immense change. Preparing to apply to live in Spain. Letting stress and bad-habits control a lot of my days.

NOW! I am living in a new country. Making an impact on future generations. Living on purpose, independently, with immense joy. Choosing how I want to show up. Processing emotions. Filled with so much peace and gratitude.

Dear ones, we have SO much to be thankful for. I hope you never miss that.

I can't wait to see what this year holds for each of you! It is going to be such a good one.
